Malindi Member of Parliament Aisha Jumwa has emerged to be one of the strongest women the Coast region has had.

The outspoken bold MP whom the deputy president William Ruto described as “The only iron lady remaining in Kenya” has remained strong and unshaken regardless of recent political ups and downs she has been facing in her party Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).

Jumwa was expelled from the ODM party for what the party said going against the party regulations.

Jumwa revealed in a message directed the DP William Ruto during a church service on Sunday, two Bible verses that can strengthen and encourage someone to stay strong when he/s being fought by enemies.

She highlighted these verses:

1. Psalm 35

She refereed the DP William Ruto to “Ask God in tears” using this verse. From King James Version (KJV), the Bible says “1. Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. 2. Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. 3 Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.”

This indicates Aisha Jumwa has been using this verses to seek God’s favour when dealing with her political enemies, and from the look of things, she almost winning the war after party leader Raila Odinga said he was ready to pardon her any time if she apologizes.

2. Joshua 1:6

This verse states “Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.”

Indeed Jumwa has been strong and courageous enough in recent weeks, she was not getting shaken even when things in ODM were not working her way, and for that reason, she encouraged DP Ruto to befriend this wonderful verse of the holy book.

Here is her message.
