MALINDI MP Aisha Jumwa has rubbished rumours of a looming by-election after she was expelled from the party for disloyalty saying she will finish her five years term undeterred.

Jumwa who received a grand reception from her supporters all the way from Malindi International airport to Mbuzi Wengi for a rally urged residents to stop panicking and continue with their daily businesses without fear.
“I do not owe anyone an apology over my political decision, the votes belong to Malindians and I want to tell residents that there will be no by-election in Malindi, businessmen should proceed with their business without fear,” she said.
She added: “When God speaks, all other speakers become noise makers, those in Nairobi are noise makers.”
The embattled MP who has openly been supporting DP William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid, also reminded ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga that she is not the kind to be threatened.
“I am not a person to be threatened, I have respected them and I will continue to respect you especially the party leader, I want to tell you I am not a person to be threatened.
“If you decided to reconcile and support in national unity, do not only concentrate on other places but also do the same to Malindi because we want a peaceful Malindi not threats,” Jumwa said.
