Controversial pastor Apostle James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Church has retreated to the ‘wilderness’ to fast and pray for Kenya.

This comes days after he was arrested for threatening Citizen TV journalist Linus Kaikai who proposes that preachers have impeccable academic credentials before ‘venturing’ into preaching.

Through a video that has gone viral online, Apostle Ng’ang’a is seen draped in tattered sacks where he says he is going to stay in Kajiado county ‘desert’ for six days.

He is seen urging the educated and the uneducated to join him in praying for the country before he kneels down, scoops a handful of soil which he pours on his hair noting that the country requires urgent delivery.

Many have termed him as a ‘hypocrite’ by many for setting out to fast and pray in the company of a cameraman to capture his hypocrisy which he proceeds to publicise. Just like the Biblical Pharisees used to do.

The good Apostle has been advised to read Matthew 6:16-18 which condemns hypocritical worshippers like him.
