MALINDI MP Aisha Jumwa has gotten a reprieve after the Political Parties Tribunal extended conservatory orders barring ODM from expelling her from the party pending the hearing and determination of the complaint she lodged at the tribunal.

Through her lawyer Kipchumba Murkomen who is also the Senate Majority leader, the MP argues that the decision to expel her from the party was unlawful.
The case will be heard on May 7 while ODM has been given 10 days to file responses to the complainant.
The Registrar of Political Parties has been struck off the case after she told the court that they are not party to the case as RPP is yet to remove Jumwa her from the party list. However, RPP is an interested party in the case.
Early last month, ODM’s National Governing Council led by the party Leader Raila Odinga resolved to kick out Jumwa from the party arguing that she has publicly been supporting DP William Ruto 2022 presidential bid.
