MSAMBWENI MP Suleiman Dori has thanked ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga for sparing his political life till a later date saying he is a loyal member of the party.

Dori said he is repentant of his political sins while welcoming ODM’s National Governing Council (NGC) decision to pardon him after the party expelled his Malindi counterpart Aisha Jumwa.

“I want to assure the people of Msawmbweni that am a loyal party of ODM and I will remain in ODM and maintain my loyalty to my party leader to ensure that the people of this constituency get development” he said on Saturday at Dori Girls High School in Msambweni, Kwale County.

He added: “I thank the NGC led by Rt. Hon Raila Odinga because they only listened at my apology because of Msambweni electorates.”

An NGC meeting sitting in Nairobi on Friday resolved to expel Jumwa and defer Dori’s case to a later date.

Earlier the party’s disciplinary committee and National Executive Council (NEC) had recommended the removal of the two ODM rebels who have been drumming for DP William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid instead of working for their constituents.
