THE PROCESS to sack Supreme Court Judge Jackton Ojwang immediately has started after the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) resolved to ask President Uhuru Kenyatta to form a tribunal to investigate his conduct.

This is after Ojwang refused to appear before the JSC to answer to bribery allegations.
“We have written a recommendation to the President to set up a tribunal for the removal of Justice Ojwang and accordingly adopted,” Chief Justice David Maraga, a JSC member, said at the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Maraga added that he regrets the decision of the judge to refuse to appear before the commission.
One Nelson Oduol and eight other residents of Migori County had filed a complaint against the judge claiming that close associates of Migori Governor Okoth Obado bribed him to rule in favour of Obado in a case involving the Sony Sugar belt.
