Kissing, wedding and burial ceremonies banned over Coronavirus

Read Time:36 Second

Trans Nzoia County Government has banned kissing, wedding and funeral ceremonies as a safety measure to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.

The Patrick Khaemba-led County Government further asked the members of the “Nyumba Kumi” initiative to arrest all those who will breach the directive.

The move comes after the neighbouring Kakamega County ordered for the closure of all morgues as a safety measure to control the deadly disease that has seen three cases reported in Kenya so far.

This comes just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta in his State of the nation address over Coronavirus gave a raft of measures his government has put in place to control the widespread of the disease that the world is grappling to contain.
