Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi explains why Ruto is becoming more popular amid war with the ‘system’

Deputy President William Ruto is becoming more popular with citizens as the 2022 general election draws near, Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has observed.

The renowned lawyer noted Ruto’s political star was rising each dawn due to the ‘humiliation and humbling’ he has been going through courtesy of the ‘system’.

Ahmednasir alleged the deep state has declared war on the DP which has become a blessing in disguise, since the people were empathising with him and thus becoming very popular.

“The war between DP Ruto and his opponents (the system) is regulated by Newton’s Laws of Motion…”Every action has an equal and opposite reaction”…the more Ruto is humiliated and humbled by the system the more popular he becomes with peasants and the people,” the lawyer tweeted on Monday.

The remarks came barely a day after Ruto claimed the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) is being used to bring him down in a wider scheme, which he sensationally alleged includes assassinating him.

“The DCI has been mobilised for political reasons to discredit and destroy my office with all manner (of) nonsense and to bring me down. Those in this scheme are boasting that I will not be there soon. Since the system cannot elect anybody, they can only kill. But there is God in heaven,” the second-in-command tweeted on Saturday.
