Media wars!Kameme FM poaches ManSaimo na Kata as Inooro FM takes Gatonye wa Mbugua and Kiengei!

Kameme FM is Kenya’s number one Kikuyu vernacular radio station has continued to show their desire to rule the airwaves as they have raided Inooro FM and poached the only strong duo of man Simo and Kata .

They will be hosting the evening drive show. Fans across the country are excited about the move that will enable them listen to the sensational duo on Kameme FM, the move is a killer blow to Inooro FM that has been left struggling for a long time since the exit of Waithera Muitherania a gap that up to date has never been filled, sack of Esther Macharia too affected the station as they now have the head of Radio who was a sales person and seems to be clueless in media matters.Inooro FM is trying to fill in the gap by bringing in the radio Queen Waithera Muitherania to take the evening drive show. Its no doubt Waithera will fit in the shoes of the exiting duo.In addition, Inooro FM has stretched its muscles and gone for Kameme FM morning hosts Gatonye wa Mbugua and Kiengei. This will indeed be a fight of heavy weights with the one who has more money taking over.Kameme Programming has been aligned so well and this has been Inooro FM’s headache.

As media war takes shape,Former Journalist Joshua Sang has been appointed as head of Radio at Mediamax and will henceforth be the boss of the fast rising Emo radio with huge following in Rift Valley. Sang will take over the morning show as the lead presenter and will also be the overall deputy program controller. He was head of Radio at KASS FM before he was dramatically accused of fueling ethnic tension in 2007.MediaMax Limited,is keen to take over the media industry from the Media Mogul SK Macharia and for sure they have made serious inroads.

Early last Month Mediamax Network Limited also launched a new Giriama Station, Msenangu FM,that has now taken over the Coastal region heading Kaya FM.
The Company is also expected to Launch more radio station in Luo, Kisii, Luhya, Embu, Kamba and Taita language stations given that they have already taken over Meru and Kikuyu base.
