Mount Kenya University students from Kisii campus have condemned the brutal killing of Ivy Wangechi.

The angry MKU students led by Hellen Nyaboke termed Wangechi’s brutal murder as disrespect for women.

The deceased was a sixth year Medicine student at Moi University in Eldoret.

“It is not good at all for Ivy’s boyfriend to kill her in broad daylight. She deserved to be given a chance to explain if at all she had wronged the man. Her death is a shock to us because in recent days, ladies especially those in campus, are being murdered by their boyfriends,” Nyaboke said.

Agnes Muema, a student, called on government to beef up security in learning institutions to avoid such ‘senseless’ murders.

Boniface Ngare, another student still, condemned Ivy’s boyfriend saying he should have left Ivy to move on instead of killing her.
