Moi University Chairperson Timothy Kemboi has now declared his desire to vie for the senatorial seat,Uasin Gishu county in 2022.
Kemboi who hails from Kesses Sub-county revealed that he has taken his time to make the decision because according to him,he has a calling to help the residents.
”I have decided to vie for the senatorial seat in my county (Uasin Gishu) because I feel like my people here need a better and development oriented leadership,”said Kemboi.
Apart from being the MUSO chairperson, his leadership skills were first ‘discovered’ during his high school days and even several tasks he has been mandated to do in the society.
”I schooled at Laboret high school and that is where I knew I could make a positive impact to other people. Even in my home they are a number of activities I have been tasked to perform,”noted Kemboi.
His ambitions, however, cannot deter him from delivering the promises he made to comrades during campaign period where he massively won the MUSO elections.
”My declaration to join Kenyan politics cannot prevent me from serving Moi University comrades.I will continue doing my best during my reign, despite the challenges we are having at the moment,”added the budding politician.
The current seat is now being held by veteran politician Prof. Margaret Kamar.
