Moses Kuria: This is why I appear in public drunk

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria alleged love for the bottle has once again become a subject of discussion on social media after he appeared on Citizen TV’s JKL show on Wednesday.

In fact, a section of Kenyans on Twitter were convinced that Kuria was ‘high’ when he appeared for the interview which perhaps prompted his host Jeff Koinange to address the matter.

This is as Koinange reminded the MP about his rude response on the same question during an interview with Inooro TV last month where he said he drinks with nobody’s mother, something he said he was unapologetic about.

“I am tired of being asked this question again and again and that is why I had to answer those who accuse me of drunkenness as such. Why should my drinking lifestyle be such a concern to some people that even when I coming from the church they say I am drunk?” said Kuria.

He added: “I will tell them once again that it is not their money or their alcohol that I take and should, therefore, let me be. Twitter users, fishfingers and Umber users are the main problem we have in this country.”

The MP who is known to shoot from the hip, seems to have been angered so much by this topic that when one watcher texted the TV station saying that ‘I like the MP and I would want a piece of what he uses’, Kuria called him an ‘idiot’.

Kuria equally had a blunt response to his colleague at the National Assembly Catherine Waruguru (Laikipia Woman Rep), who had texted the station requesting Jeff to ask Kuria to substantiate what he meant by saying ‘that female MPs are loose’.

“You see this is the kind of madness I have been telling you about. Even before I leave the studio someone is already accusing me of things I never said yet this interview will be uploaded online,” retorted the MP.
