Raila’s comment lands him in deep trouble

As Coronavirus cases in Kenya keep on rising, ODM leader Raila Odinga has been facing bashing on social media with his previous comment now haunting him.

Kenya has already confirmed 25 cases of Covid-19 pandemic.

While being blamed for his alleged role in the “importation” of the virus into the country, Kenyans have directed their anger to the former Prime Minister, saying that he is equally responsible for the current mess in the country.

At the time the government was allowing Chinese airlines to land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport amid public out cry, Raila said that the decision to allow the airlines from the Coronavirus hard-hit China was for the best interest of the country. And seemingly, Kenyans have not forgotten that statement.

” The decision to allow the Chinese plane to land in Kenya was done after monitoring and evaluation; it was in the best interest of the country,” Raila said at the time.

And now, the statement has landed him in trouble.
