Deputy President William Ruto has sent an emotional condolence message to the family of the AP officer who worked in his office, whose dead body was found in his house in Imara Daima, Nairobi, on Thursday.
In his condolence message, the DP described senior sergeant Kipyegon Kenei as a disciplined young police officer even as he called on security apparatus to speed up investigations into the cause of his death.
” Deeply saddened by the death of police sergeant Kipyegon Kenei who worked in my Harambee House Annex office. Kenei was a disciplined young police officer. I urge relevant authorities to conduct thorough investigations to establish the circumstances surrounding his death,” the DP said.
The 33-year old Kenei went missing on Wednesday when he was supposed to record statement with the DCI to explain how former Sports Cabinet Secretary Rashid Echesa accessed the DP’s office amid the controversy surrounding the alleged fake military arms tender deal that is now haunting Dr Ruto’s office.
