Deputy President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga met for the first time in many weeks when they paid a visit to ailing Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju at his Karen home, Nairobi.
Both DP Ruto and the African Union Special Envoy for Infrastructure Development were accompanied by their trusted political allies.
On the the DP’s side was Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria among others while Raila had Kisumu Women Representative Rosa Buyu and several other politicians.
The Raila- Ruto rare, or perhaps coincidental meeting, is one of its kind considering that it has happened at a time political tensions in the country are on the rise with the duo being at the centre of the duel.
Tuju sustained serious injuries when he was involved in a fatal crash last month on his way to Kabarak for the funeral of former President Daniel Arap Moi.
He returned to the country last week from London where he was receiving treatment.
