Martin Luther King Jr once said, “If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.”
This adage seems to have inspired Royal Media Services reporter Victor Kinuthia after his live reporting proved messy.
A determined Victor has now revealed his ‘side hustle’; he is a singer and performs various live performances.
“Kindly watch my live performance in Gachocho Kigumo today. Continue to subscribe my you tube channel,” posted Victor on his Facebook account.
A quick check by this source reveals that Victor’s latest song ‘Kirindi’ has received an impressive 38000 views on Youtube just after 6 days.
The journalist also has 2180 subscribers.
Lately, Victor was badly trolled on social media after he proved nervous when covering a live event in which Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro’s supporters were protesting his arrest.
The Murang’a-based reporter was however motivated by his counterparts among them reknown news anchor Hussein Mohammed who argued that unlike other professions, journalists broadcast their mistakes.
Ndindi Nyoro too revealed that Victor is his friend and encouraged him not to give up.
“I want to tell Victor that he is one of the best vernacular reporters, especially on Inooro . We should be proud of our identities and where we come from,” said Nyoro.
Nyoro further hinted at never being ashamed of his Kikuyu accent as it points to his roots.
