PRESIDENT Uhuru Kenyatta has been asked to sack all cabinet secretaries in his government who in one way or another have been named in graft cases.

The call has been made by Kitui Senator Enoch Wambua, just a day after Kenyatta fired his Sports CS Rashid Echesa with immediate effect.

Speaking during a tour at Tharaka Ward in Kitui County, Wambua lauded Uhuru for his commitment on the war against graft but urged to stretch his hand further and slay the drag of corruption in its entirety.

“I wonder why cabinet secretaries who have been named in the Dams Scandal where billions of shillings have been embezzled are still doing in office under the watch of President Kenyatta. Fire them irrespective of their stature,” Wambua said on Saturday.

At the same time, the senator called on the EACC to his county, to investigate the mystery surrounding the construction of Umaa Dam which has stalled for many years as a result of misappropriation of funds.

“We want all those involved in embezzling of millions of shillings that was meant to make Kitui a water sufficient county after construction of Umma Dam brought to book. I consider all those who engage in corruption activities as fools who should seek redemption,” he added.
