GOOGLE Inc has announced plans to shut down its popular ‘Inbox by Gmail’ app in the next 15 days (April, 2).

The shut down of the app will take place on the same day Google Inc had announced earlier that it will be closing down its failed social media platform, Google+.

The US based giant had announced that it would close the mobile email app in 2018 but had not provided a specific date until recently.

If you are a regular user of this app, there is a likelihood that you have come across a notification within the app informing you that the app will be ‘going away’ soon (see the photo below).

However, alongside the in-app notice, Google is offering you a shortcut that opens the usual Gmail app for those who have been using Inbox by Gmail app.

Inbox by Gmail app was lauched in 2014 to help those who have to deal with many emails on a daily basis enabling them to automatically generate replies, create bundles just to name but a few.
